DO you want to have your say on the future of Barrow town centre?
This Saturday, between 11am and 3pm, at the entrance to the indoor market just off Portland Walk, members of the public will be able to attend a ‘drop-in’ event where town centre businesses and councillors can consult with Barrovians on town regeneration plans.
The event, ‘Shape the Future of Barrow Town Centre’, has been part-organised by Barrow BID.
The BID is looking to develop a Town Centre Framework plan in an attempt to mitigate long-running decline for high street traders since the advent of online shopping and is hoping to canvass opinion at the weekend drop-in.
Jacqui Armstrong, from Barrow's indoor market, said: “We’re really excited about the prospect of more funding for the market.”
