AN Ulverston school donated a record number of bags and boxes to the foodbank collection.
Ulverston Victoria High School sent 60 bags and boxes of supplies to Barrow foodbank this year - the school's biggest ever donation.
A spokesman said: "Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Foodbank collection in December.
"We set a new school record and sent an absolutely incredible 60 bags and boxes of supplies this year; and as you may have seen over the weekend, it was a real community effort with Stollers, Kimberly Clark and Abbey Road Baptist Church involved at all stages of our donation."
