Jacqueline Cooksey said: Will the trains be run by Northern as not much point spending all that money on tracks when they cant run the bloody trains now.

Shaun Mcinnes said: We are a town that excels in engineering our council is hell bent on a mariner so we need to be opened up to easy access or that will be just a waste of money sure we could provide some work force to the construction. Also why not make Cumbria the heart of nuclear energy as well as green energy?

Scott Reynolds said: I would like to see this happen. Even if there a tollbooths for access I wouldn't mind that, you know to pay for its upkeep. I'm sure BAE systems are trying to push for it and maybe the wind farms too.

Jeffrey Holt said: Not this again. I mean what’s the point? Unless it’s coupled with massive investment in barrow itself all it’s gonna do is suck things out of the town and make things worse.

Ian Allington said: Will suck the life out of the area.

Shirley Gelling said: If it was trains as well many town stations would miss out.

Peter Cahill said: Less talk, more action
