Unite the Union says workers are "finding their voice"
Unite the Union has sent a letter to all BAE workers in Barrow assuring job safety under a Labour government.
Barrow’s Labour candidate Chris Altree said: “Labour is fully committed to delivering the Successor programme and that the yard and its entire workforce would be safe under an incoming Labour administration.”
Mr Altree said the suggestions a Corbyn government would scrap Trident was a ‘lie [that] was comprehensively rebuffed’ by Shadow Defence Secretary Nia Griffith, who visited the shipyard on Friday.
