A SCOUTING leader has received a ‘well deserved’ award for his service to the community.
Keith King, a scouting leader from Barrow, has received his Rotary Community and Vocational Award from Barrow Rotary Club president Bob Herbert.
The award was presented to him in recognition of his 50 year milestone of providing service to the community through scouting.
Mr King, 75, has been involved with the Scouts for the majority of his life, having been involved ever since he was a schoolboy.
He has also been Walney Churches Scout Group leader since the group was formed in 2007.
