PROSECUTORS have withdrawn a case against a teenager who assaulted a woman in Windermere.
Terrel Drew Clayton, of Lambert Road in Preston, was due to appear at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old had been charged with assaulting Janet Hartley by beating in Windermere on August 30.
However on Wednesday prosecutor Carl Gaffney revealed the case had been withdrawn because Clayton had accepted a caution for the assault after police opted to deal with it out-of-court.
Bail conditions were cancelled and Clayton did not attend court.
