Barrow Parkrun saw a great turn out of 137 people.

Celebrations were had as Barry Angove, Kay Barton, Caroline Arnold and Lynda Fisher all achieved their 50th Parkrun.

The first of the men to cross the finish line this Parkrun was Tom Brophy in 18.18, he was followed by Robert Armstrong in a new personal best of 18.51, and following behind closely in the third place position was Cameron Bell in 18.53.

Racing ahead to first place for the ladies was Sarah Bouffler, she was followed in second place by Suzanne Thompson in a new personal best of 24.19, who was followed closely behind by Louise Tidbury in 24.21.

Millom Parkrun is shaping up nicely as the season ahead will produce ideal conditions to help you improve your running performance. The conditions were soft and testing after some rain during the week.

John Rodgers took the first place position for the men in 26.15, taking second place was Gary Woodhouse in 26.28, and taking third place in 27.08 was Jonathan Bailey.

Holly Singleton achieved first place out of the ladies in 36.29, in second place was Debra Cassar in 37.20 and in third place was Reina Schaffer in 38.00.

Fell Foot Parkrun saw a huge turnout of over 200 runners, with plenty of them being lightning quick.

Storming to the finish line for the gents was Ewan Christie taking first place in 18.48, he was followed by Justin Corbishley in 19.16, and in third place was Jacob Dyer in 19.38.

First for the women was Geraldine Moffat in 21.11, in second place was Bianca Dyer in 21.31 and in third place was Jenny Lyon in 21.55.

Ulverston's Ford Parkrun have announced a special New Year's Day Parkrun.

Running into the first place for the men position was Darren Coward in 20.26, following behind in second place was Matthew Garnett in 20.51 and taking third place was Robbie Driscoll in 20.59.

Achieving first place for the girls was Sara Nunney in 21.47, behind her in second place was Joanna Bailey in 25.12 and in third place was Elizabeth Fleetwood in 25.23.

All Parkrun organisers thanked the weekly volunteers who make the Saturday morning events possible.
