A number of events to mark Remembrance Day are planned across Barrow and South Cumbria.
Here is a run-down of the commemorative acts that will be taking place over the coming two days.
Marchers will gather at the town square around 10.10am on Sunday before forming a procession towards the Cenotaph in Barrow Park, where the town’s annual service will be held at 11am.
Tomorrow’s Remembrance Day parade through Ulverston will begin at 2:10pm, just outside the British Legion in Brogden Street. The march will return to the town’s war memorial for a wreath-laying ceremony at 3:35pm.
On Monday at 10:45am, there will be a short Remembrance Day service at the Ulverston War Memorial.
A public service will take place tomorrow at St Mary’s Parish Church in Dalton at 10am. Meanwhile, at the Newton-in-Furness Village War Memorial, a short service will be held at 11:45am.
Respects are to be paid at a 2pm wreath-laying event by Windermere War Memorial. From there, a march will make its way to St Martin’s Church where a service will begin at 3pm. Tea and coffee will be available afterwards.
In Ambleside, a 3pm service will take place at St Mary’s Church on Sunday. On Monday, there will be a two-minute silence at Ambleside Market Cross, followed by a service at Ambleside Primary School starting at 2.15pm.
A Sunday service at St Oswald’s Church, Grasmere, will begin at 10.50am. This will be followed by a procession to the Grasmere War Memorial where a short service and wreath-laying ceremony will start at 12.15pm.
St Andrew’s Church in Coniston will hold a 10:45am Sunday service before wreath-laying.
