Parkrunners turned up in force to take on the free 5k course.

Barrow Parkrun saw a day of personal bests, with 27 of them being recorded.

First to cross the finish line for the men was Will McNally in 18.39, coming in behind him was Sean Roberts in 19.16 and taking the third place spot was Christopher Hubbold in 19.31.

First for the women was Georgia Bell in 19.25, she was followed by Heather Travis in 33.09 who was followed very closely behind by Amy Singleton in 22.10.

Millom saw a newcomer hit the top ranks.

In first place for the males was Ross Butcher in 24.08, he was followed by first time parkrunner Mike Tomes in 24.50, taking third was Dave Bridges in 26.34.

First to finish for the women was Rachel Read in 31.31, next to cross the finish line was Holly Singleton in 32.43 and in third place was Olivia Moore in 34.21.

Fell Foot Parkrun celebrated its 5th birthday, the event director’s shield was awarded to the core team for all of their volunteer work.

First to finish for the men was Alasdair Russell in 16.39, in second place was James Corbishley in 18.47 and third place was not recorded.

First to the finish post for the ladies was Sophie Cowin in 21.01, she was followed to the finish by Tilly Lainchbury in 21.41, and taking the third place spot was Erica Evans in 22.39.

Ulverston’s Ford Parkrun also saw a great turnout.

Finishing first for the men was Andrew Dorrian in 17.43, in second place was James Bailey in 20.06 and in third place was Jeff Chadwick in 20.19.

Taking the first place spot for the women was Jessica Bailey in 20.39, in second place was Catherine Eaton in 22.10 and in third place was Joanne McLeod in 25.08.

All Parkrun organisers thanked the weekly volunteers who make the Saturday morning events possible.

People of all fitness levels are invited to take part in Parkrun. Furry friends and children are always welcome.
