VOLUNTEERS from the community have planted more than 2,000 bulbs at Millom Park this weekend.
Joined by Labour's Tony Lywood and Millom Mayor Angela Dixson the event was organised by Millom Town Council.
The event, funded by the mayoral allowance, aimed to plant hundreds of daffodil bulbs to bring colour to the park come spring.
Cllr Angela Dixon , Mayor of Millom, said: “The day was a big success for a little community event.
“The town council is committed to making Millom Park as attractive as we can.
“We thank all the donations of bulbs and volunteers who came to give us a hand today.”
Tony Lywood, Labour candidate for Copeland, said: “It’s been great to be involved in this fantastic community event, well done to Angela and Millom Town Council for funding and organising this.”
