RAIL bosses have shown why they were forced to cancel services after flooding on the line between Barrow and Manchester.
Due to heavy rain on Friday rail services were cancelled and delayed.
One customer criticised the rail provider for the cancellations and said: "Every train I’ve tried to get on has been cancelled. Get a grip."
Northern replied and posted a picture on Twitter showing the dramatic flooding at one station between Barrow and Manchester.
"We're unable to run trains through this flood," Northern said.
Trains between Preston and Blackpool were also cancelled.
