CHILDREN at St Paul’s Church of England School in Barrow got the chance to learn more about life as a musician from former pupil and singer songwriter Nicola Hogg.

Ms Hogg, who left Barrow in 2008, has won songwriting awards through the Mayor of London as well as played Glastonbury and released seven singles.

She returned to her old primary school as part of her homecoming tour of Cumbria.

Children were treated to a special performance and then got the chance to learn about the theme behind Nicola’s tour which was the idea of hope.

The children also got the chance to write their own articles about the visit.
