A POPULAR fitness centre is now offering high-intensity interval training (H.I.I.T) classes.

Dalton Leisure Centre, based on Chapel Street, is now hosting four (H.I.I.T) classes.

A spokesperson from Dalton Leisure Centre said: "If you enjoy short, sharp bursts of intermittent exercise then interval training is the workout for you. This specific method of training is designed to drive the heart rate to its maximum, condition the body to work anaerobically while developing lung capacity and improving recovery speed.

"Drive through different energy zones in Spinning or feel the benefits of body weight exercise in the evening."

They hold H.I.I.T spin sessions on Tuesday and Thursday from 10.45am-11.15am. They also hold other H.I.I.T sessions on Tuesday and Thursday from 5.40pm-6.10pm.
