PLAN: Parkside GGI Academy in Barrow
A BARROW school is seeking permission to extend its playground.
Parkside GGI Academy in Greengate Street has asked council planners to tarmac its all-weather playground to create a larger play area.
In a supporting statement, the school said it the work would ease overcrowding at playtimes and be 'essential for the continued success of the school'.
The school said it felt the loss of the grassed area was acceptable because of a large playing field adjacent to the playground area.
