A TEAM from SERCO Marine Services gave an area of Barrow a face lift.
The company got involved with the project near the old PC World to raise awareness of the damage plastic and litter can cause.
The team, who work at the SERCO office on Peter Green Way, also held two beach cleans last year.
Member of staff Janet Woodhead said: “We followed the example set by ZEST Community Action Group and decided to concentrate on the area near to the office. I was involved with the recent ZEST clean of the area near Tesco and I’m pleased they’re now moving into the Roundhouse and extending the community services.
“I’m aware some people have the belief litter is a council issue, and I agree, I just feel if we all took our litter home and placed it in our bins the council could then collect it from there.”
