A MOUNTAIN rescue team were called out after they received a call from Cumbria Police regarding a young woman suffering from an ankle injury.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team were called at 4.20pm on Monday to a young woman who had fallen on the start of the descent from Claife Heights to the Windermere Ferry.
A spokesman from Coniston MRT said: "She sustained an ankle injury from the fall.
"The full team was deployed to carry her on a stretcher down the tricky path to the waiting land ambulance, which took her to A&E for further assessment."
