AN ambitious stage performance aiming to shed light on the plight of refugee children is set to hit the Barrow stage this September.
The Playground tells the story of a group of Syrian refugees, played by real refugee children settled in Furness, as they navigate multiple culture barriers to integrate with the community.
Barrow musician Andrew Sproxton has written and composed the production and Barrow singer and actress Yvonne Patterson will direct the theatre performance.
The cast of about 50 children and refugee youngsters will make up the cast of the upcoming theatre production.
The Playground will be performed at The Forum on Wednesday September 26 Thursday September 27 and Friday September 28.
