WORK: Aerial view of the BAE Systems shipyard in Barrow
A safety exercise is planned at BAE Systems Submarines’ Barrow site on Friday, 16 August.
An internal alarm - likely to be audible to people living near the shipyard - will sound during the morning. As part of the exercise, employees will leave site in a phased manner during the morning, with limited disruption for the neighbouring community.
There is no need for anyone not working at the shipyard to take any action at all.
