CLOSED: Section of A595 closed in both directions
HIGHWAYS England have informed motorists that a section of the A595 has now reopened after being shut in both directions.
Earlier a spokesperson from Highways England said via twitter: “A595 closed in both directions on Loop Road South - follow diversion along A5094 through Whitehaven.”
They have now announced that the section of the road is now open.
