FULL of Noises returns the week after next bringing new music and sound art to the sonic surroundings of the Furness Peninsula. The first wave of artists announced for its ten year anniversary edition include sound artists Tim Shaw and Lee Patterson, who will present work drawing upon their residencies with South Walney Nature Reserve.

Running from Friday until Sunday, August 9-11, Kelly Jayne Jones premieres a new work inspired by Cumbria’s musical stones alongside performances from Sarah Kenchington, ORE and more.

Plus, the original sound art golf course returns to Barrow Park with new works from Domestic Science, Furness Model Railway Club, Sam Underwood, Sarah Kenchington, Chiz Turnross, Nicki McCubbing and more, including the return of Thing Thong.

Barrow Library hosts a series of workshops and talks with FoN artists throughout the weekend.

Full of Noises offers the chance to see and hear a programme of bold new work across the Furness. Since 2009, the festival has hosted performances and projects by more than 150 artists ranging from Felix Kubin, AGF, Tetsuo Kogawa and Philip Jeck to Haco, Hildur Gudnadottir, Laura Cannell and Lee Gamble.

This year’s weekend programme takes in specially commissioned work, talks, installations and workshops by a broad spectrum of composers, musicians and sound artists from the UK and beyond.

It's simply, just a world class sonic adventure.
