ICELAND stores across the UK have had to recall all its 60 Crispy Chicken Dippers as some packs may contain pieces of hard plastic.
The product has been recalled from the company's stores, which may include the Barrow outlet on Hindpool Road.
The issue was revealed by the Food Standards Agency stating the presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.
Action taken by the company will be point-of-sale notices to be displayed in all retail stores selling this product.
These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
No other Iceland products are known to be affected.
Iceland's advice to consumers stated if purchased to not eat it, and instead return it to the store for a full refund.
