CHARITIES: Man, 70, raises nearly £1,500 for charities on birthday
Stuart Brakewell of Ulpha celebrated his 70th Birthday recently with a gig by the well-known Haley Sisters at the Browfoot Room Ulpha.
Mr Brakewell raised £625 for the Broughton Community First Responders, £625 for the upkeep of the Browfoot Room and a further £150 for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Barbary Greenhaugh and her daughters were thanked for the food provided, and Andy Foster for running the bar.
