Damage to the astroturf pitch in Barrow
YOUTHS have damaged an astroturf pitch in Barrow.
Police said tonight they trespassed on to the pitch at the top of Bath Street and damaged the goals.
Officers said it had 'hindered' schools from using the pitch this week.
Barrow Police said on Twitter: "Sad to hear that youths have been trespassing on the astroturf pitch at the top of Bath St and caused damaged.
"The pitch is owned by the local schools and this has hindered their use this week.
"Could anyone with any info please contact us on 101."
