ULVERSTON turned back time this weekend with a host of retro vehicles descending on to the streets of the the town for Retro Rendezvous.

Old, classic and unique cars of all descriptions could be seen lined up for residents come come and see.

The iconic Delorean from Back to the Future was a favourite on the day, with people crowding around to get a look.

There were also a host of retro bicycles and a number of stalls offering variety of cycling goods.

Retro Rendezvous Festival is a celebration of everything retro.

Running from July 12 to July 14, it hosts music, food, dance, cinema, clothes, markets, cars, motorcycles all with a retro theme, in addition, there are the famous Velo Retro old school cycling events.

The festival is organised by the Retro Rendezvous Partnership, made up of representatives of partner organisations; Sportive Lakes, Ulverston Live Music, Vintage Village Halls, and Furness British Motorcycle Club.

Alan Brenton, one of the organising team, said: “It’s gone very well.

“We’ve been really well, we only just managed to fit all of the cars and other vehicles in.

“But it’s gone pretty much perfectly.

“Going forward we want to keep improving the quality of what’s on offer.”
