A global banking group has thanked an Ulverston man for his praise of a member of staff in the local branch.

Barclays thanked Ulverston man, Michael McLoughlin, for his positive comments about a female member of staff at the Barrow branch.

In a tweet to Barclays, Mr McLoughlin praised branch worker Donna, for her patience as well as her friendly and helpful behaviour.

He said: "I want wanted to say thank you to Donna who works in the Barclays branch in Barrow in Furness for helping us today with printing some statments.

"She was so friendly to both me and my wife and patiently helped us, even though she was clearly very busy."

A representative for the banking group responded to the praise, thanking Mr Mcloughlin for the positive comments and assured him the comments had been pased on.

He said: "Thanks for sharing this Michael, I've passed your comment onto the manager at Barrow in Furness now.

"Hopefully the Donna can get some recognition.

"Thanks again."
