A MAPLE tree on the University of Cumbria’s Ambleside campus has joined notable national species branching out to be crowned Tree of the Year.
This month, the tree could join 10 hopefuls as finalists in Woodland Trust’s annual competition.
Campus manager, Rob Wilson said: “If anyone can tell me anything about our red emperor maple, please get in touch."
