FOUR fire engines were sent out following a barn fire in Dalton.
Crews from Ulverston, Barrow, Walney and Penrith were called out at 3.38am this morning to reports of a building fire on Urswick Road in Dalton.
On arrival fire fighters quickly dealt with a fire involving a barn measuring twenty metres by thirty metres.
Firefighters said that the fire also involved an asbestos roof and that the barn was well alight on arrival.
Two hose reel jets and two main jets were used during the fire. As of 12pm they remained at the scene.
