LEO is a star of a staffie - a blue star to be exact - which translates into a staffie who is grey in colour.

Britain also has short hair blue cats which again are grey.

Leo was adopted by Stephen Snell from the local charity Animal Refuge and this loveable dog has gone from a life in the Walney pound to being a member of the Snell family.

He enjoys lots of walks including ones with Stephen's dad who Leo loves.

Leo is around four years old and cannot get attention, but in return is very playful especially when it comes to children.

He will also play ball with everyone.

If anyone gets upset Leo knows straight away and is all over them wanting to give kisses to make them feel better.

Stephen adopted him last December following the death of his elderly staffie Bruiser.

He was actually going to take another staffie from the pound when, purely by chance, Leo came back from having a walk with one of the pound's volunteer dog walker's and Immediately Stephen knew he was the one for him.

Bob, the cocker spaniel, is another pup making the most of life winning prizes at dog shows.

He is an expert at winning the waggiest tail section because it is something that comes naturally to him as well as best in show.

Owners Karen Shuttleworth and partner Harry say Bob has a turbo powered tail which never stops.

Bob goes to what Karen describes as 'fun dog shows', rather than the more serious kind which takes the trio up and down the country. They have made so many friends through the events, she says.

The two-year-old cocker spaniel absolutely loves people, especially children, and is happiest going out and about meeting everyone and having a great time.

One of the other amazing things about Bob is his wonderful smile, however, he does not always impress the couple's much older dog, Ben, who just looks at him clearly thinking 'grow up'.

The final dog this week is Helen Pearson's Jack Russell Sinda. She is six and a half years old and the pair live in Barrow.

Sinda is obsessed with tennis balls and swimming. Helen says Sinda's favourite thing in the world to do is chase tennis balls on Rampside beach.
