Councillors have shown their support for an innovate new scheme aimed at making Ulverston more disability friendly.
Ulverston Town Councillors have provided £500 worth of funding for the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme Project.
The project aims to provide disabled people with lanyards in which members of the public and organisations can recognise that a person has a hidden disability without needing to declare it.
The council will also offer window stickers for shops to declare they are participating in the scheme.
Anyone interested in the scheme can pick up a free lanyard or sticker from the town council office on Market Street.
The scheme is officially launching in Ulverston on Sunday July 14 to commemorate Disability Awareness Day.
