YOUNGSTERS spent a day in the great outdoors honing their team-building skills.
All 76 Greengate Junior School’s Year 5 pupils headed up to Coniston where they took part in canoeing sessions, an assault course, rope challenge and tried out the zipwire.
Assistant headteacher Paula Hillman said: “By far their favourite activity was jumping in to Coniston from the jetty.
“As the weather was quite windy, they loved being towed from their canoeing adventure by the power boats. Their canoeing expeditions included landing on Peel Island which was very ‘Swallow and Amazons’! We send year five children on this trip so that they gain team-building and resilience skills.”
