RENOVATION: Work is progressing on Sandside Lodge
Work is progressing on a multi-million pound renovation of a special needs school in Ulverston.
Sandside Lodge School in Ulverston is undergoing an £8.6m renovation project to create a purpose-built 80-place special school.
Construction began on the build in June last year, with aims of providing modern teaching facilities for children with severe learning needs.
The new school will open in September 2019, replacing the current Sandside Lodge School, which is no longer fit for purpose.
