A VETERAN has paid his respects to a fallen British Army soldier on the sixth anniversary of his death.
Tony McNally, from Ulverston, felt it “important” to pay remembrance to British Fusilier Lee Rigby who was killed by Muslim extremists on May 22 2013.
Mr Rigby was attacked and killed by Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, southeast London.
Mr McNally, who laid a wreath at Ulverston's cenotaph yesterday, said he wanted to bring awareness to the anniversary.
He said: “I just wanted to pay my respects from one soldier to another.
“It’s important we remember him.”
