WARM temperatures and sunnier skies provided the perfect backdrop for parkrunners this week.

It was celebrations all round for Barrow parkrun as one of the group’s youngest junior runners, Harrison Marr, ran his 50th parkrun with the group.

Harrison has been coming to parkrun with his parents, Dave and Helen, since he was a baby where he was pushed around the course in his buggy.

When Harrison turned four, he was able to register and receive his own unique barcode to record his runs.

This week 176 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom six were first timers.

Fraser Symon crossed the finishing line first in 18.40, followed by Dave Parker in 19.56 and Cameron Bell in 19.58.

Amy Singleton was the first woman across the line in a time of 22.15.

Cerys Jones was just behind her in a new personal best time of 22.44, followed by Sarah Bouffler in 23.36.

More than 280 runners turned up for Fell Foot’s 223rd parkrun this week.

Jack Wright landed the coveted first spot in 17.16, followed by Adam Raffell in 18.23 and Andrew Newell in 18.30.

Allison Hirst was the first woman across the line in 20.47, with Ania Ciolek behind her in a time of 23.27 and Rebecca Morris landing the third spot in 23.40.

Ulverston’s 41st parkrun had an equally impressive turn out, with 83 runners taking on the 5km course.

Andrew Dorrian was the first man across the line in a time of 17.52, with second place being awarded to first time parkrunner James Michael Mulvany.

Black Combe Runner, Harvey Lord landed the third place spot in an impressive time of 19.34.

Lindsey Clegg was the first woman across the line in 20.52, followed by Katie Fernandez in 24.33 and Fiona Lynch in 24.43.

Millom parkrun saw 30 participants walk, run and jog the 5km course.

John Rodgers landed first place in 21.01, followed by Lee Thompsett in 21.50 and Daniel King in 22.19.

First timer Claudia Holden was the first woman across the line in 27.31, with Holly Singleton behind her in a time of 30.00. Heather Crow was in the third position in a time of 30.52.

All parkruns thanked their team of volunteers.
