A YOUNG Millom singer is set for the dizzy heights of fame after being asked to take part in the North West Regional Championships.
Kai Nicholas, 13, who attends Millom School, has been invited to take part in the championship’s musical discipline section on Monday September 8, at Blackburn’s Westholme Croston Theatre.
The news comes after the pupil was awarded the Millom Town Shield and Bursary from the recent South Cumbria Music Festival, in Ulverston.
Kai’s mother, Angela Nicholas, 43, said: “For the South Cumbria Music Festival, Kai’s overall score was 89, which was one off from ‘outstanding’.
“He’s really excited about the event in September, but it’s not the first time he’s been involved with something like this.
“In the past he’s been invited to ceremonies in Manchester for his performances.”
