The sun shone for all four parkruns this week as temperatures soared to a whopping 21 degrees.

This Easter Saturday saw 200 people run, jog or walk Barrow’s undulating course, of whom 18 were first timers and 21 recorded their new personal bests.

A number of milestones were passed this week, including junior runner Braiden Cooper who chose to spend his tenth parkrun volunteering as tail walker.

Other milestones included junior runner Evie-Mai Managh reaching her tenth parkrun, alongside juniors Elaine Pears and Cerys Thompson who both reached their 50th parkrun.

Parkrun regular Maria Blakey also completed her 100th parkrun.

Matt Berry landed the first spot in 17.02, followed by Luca Messenger Jones in 18.20 and James Kitchin in 18.50.

Olesia Winder was the first woman to cross the line in 18.58 followed by Heather Travis in 21.53 and Corinne Parsons 22.38.

Ford parkrun's 37th event saw 111 runners take on the course in the glorious sunshine in Ulverston.

First finisher and making his parkrun return was Chris Joyce in a personal best time of 17:34.

Andrew Dorrian was just a second behind him in a personal best time of 17.35 followed by Joel Bland in 18.50.

Janet Heffernan was the first woman across the line in a personal best time of 21.35 followed by Sharon Dixon in 22.26 and Angela Elsworth in 23.05.

Junior parkrunner James Clarke ran his milestone tenth run with a time of 24:09 and was rewarded with a white parkrun tshirt.

More than 400 people turned up to Fell Foot’s parkrun at Newby Bridge with Craig Pilkington nabbing the first spot in 17.30.

Thomas Hall was just behind in 17.33, followed by Ian Fenn who finished in 17.48.

Alice Jones was the first woman across the line in 19.30 followed by Bianca Dyer in 20.33 and Helen Staff in 20.43.

Millom parkrun equally had an impressive turnout rate of 49 runners.

Charlie Batho landed the first spot in 19.36 followed by John Millen in 20.12 and Jonathon Bailey in 22.55.

Bethany Knowles was the first woman across the line in 22.47 with Anne Smith in 28.45 and Jenny Shaw in 28.55 completing the top three.
