A TEENAGER had to be rescued by police after falling into a river.
Police said a drunk teenage girl fell into Levy Beck in Ulverston on Sunday night.
Officers were called to pull her from the beck after her friends failed to.
Barrow Police on Twitter said: "[A] drunken teenager fell into Levy Beck in Ulverston, she is wet, muddy and drunk, officers attended and pulled her from the beck as her friends couldn't manage to.
"This could easily have been a much more serious incident."
