HORMONAL Housewives is a witty, topical, rude and extremely funny three hander that's on a mammoth 2019 UK tour.

Starring Vicki Michelle, who rose to fame as Yvette in the award-winning television comedy series Allo ‘Allo; Josephine Partridge of Top Girls and co-writer Julie Coombe, the show calls in at Ulverston's Coronation Hall on Friday, April 19.

For the trio of ‘hormonal housewives’ no subject is taboo and no thought too private as the challenges of modern womanhood are sliced, diced and put to rights by the vivacious cast.

As well as Allo' Allo, Michelle has been a regular cast member of Emmerdale and Doctors and has starred alongside Ray Winstone and Idris Elba in All In The Game and Hugh Bonneville in Silent Hours. Vicki's also appeared on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, made her West End theatre debut with Dudley Moore in Play It Again Sam and her film credits include The Greek Tycoon with Anthony Quinn. She was awarded an MBE in 2010 for her services to charity. She is patron of two young people’s theatre schools in London and Kent and the Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage.

In 2017 Josephine landed the leading role of Marlene in Caryl Churchill’s classic 1982 play Top Girls which had a successful run at Cardiff’s Chapter Arts Centre. Recently she performed a piece she’d written for the London-based theatre company Bee In My Beanie.

Julie wowed audiences with her performance in The Vagina Monologues which lead to creation of Hormonal Housewives with producer Michael Harrison and her co-writing husband, John MacIsaac. The show made its debut in 2012 and toured again 2013. However, the script has been updated for 2019: "John and I have updated the script to reflect the latest developments in communication, social media, going to the gym, and even hair," explained Julie. "For instance, social media has grown so much since 2013 when teenagers invented a whole new text-language. Now the language changes daily and it’s often incomprehensible (unless you’re a teenager). We document our entire lives online while you’re now considered a total dinosaur if you use Facebook. Selfies are in, dating websites are out, dating apps are in and you have to learn which way to swipe or you could be in trouble."
