SHOPPERS have urged parents of schoolchildren to stop using a supermarket car park to drop off and pick up their kids.

Residents in Dalton regularly report issues at the Co-op car park as a result of parents waiting for their children.

Shoppers said the problem often meant no car parking spaces remained for genuine visitors to the store.

One shopper told The Mail: "They fill up the Co-op car park in Dalton so no-one can actually get parked to go shopping.

"They have been asked numerous times but continue to park there."
