POLICE: Member of public helps police arrest youngster following assault on officer
A MEMBER of the public supported a police officer after they were assaulted by a young male in Barrow’s town centre.
This incident took place last night after an awards ceremony in The Forum.
A police spokesman said on twitter: “I arrested a youth for assaulting me and being drunk and disorderly. I had to chase him with the present you gave me as thanks. Also big thanks to the person who helped me detain him.”
