A CANNES Film Festival award-winner and Academy Award nominee, Faces Places is a deeply charming and life-affirming look at not only the subtle power of community, but the inspiration that comes from the most cross-generational of friendships. Screened at the Roxy cinema at Ulverston on Thursday, April 11, the film marks a long-awaited return to filmmaking in the year of her 90th birthday for iconic filmmaker Agnès Varda, who with photographer JR travel around France in a special box truck equipped as a portable photo booth and travelling printing facility.

PEPPA Pig is coming to the big screen once again for a series of adventures with all the characters you know and love. On the big screen at Vue Barrow on Friday, April 5, the hour-long film, Peppa Pig: Festival of Fun, includes 10 never seen before episodes and features a two-part festival special. Peppa and the gang are seen splashing around in muddy puddles at their first festival, visiting a restaurant for Grandpa Pig’s birthday, and taking their own trip to the cinema to see Super Potato.
