The MAJORITY of business owners in South Lakeland are positive about the future, according to the results of a wide-ranging survey.
Nearly three quarters of respondents to the South Lakeland Business Premises Survey said they felt confident about the next 12 months.
This is according to a survey carried out by Invest in South Lakeland, the Economic Development team at South Lakeland District Council.
They found that 20 per cent of respondents were "very confident" about the next 12 months and 54 per cent were "fairly confident."
Councillor Graham Vincent is the portfolio holder for the economy and assets.
He said: “Our businesses are performing well, as shown by South Lakeland’s total Gross Value Added.
"This is the measure of the value of goods and services.
"It rose to £2.413 billion in 2017."
