RAIL operator Northern is giving a discount to passengers following last year's train disruption.
The company is offering a 25 per cent discount for selected off-peak services.
These include routes travelling between Barrow and Carlisle and Barrow and Lancaster until April 6.
It comes weeks after the Rail, Maritime and Transport Union suspended strikes following a long-running dispute over the role of guards on trains.
Last summer also saw Furness hit by a number of cancellations and delays on the railway lines.
It followed changes to timetables brought in by the Government in May.
A recent meeting of the Cumbria Better Connected group in Ulverston heard Northern's reliability had improved in recent, according to figures from the company's regional director Christopher Jackson.
