REGARDED as the UK’s number one swing and jive band, The Jive Aces are blazing a trail our way with their new show the Big Beat Revue.

The Britain's Got Talent semi-finalists' show features special guests, the vintage pin-up dancing singing and tapping showgirls, The Satin Dollz; the low down baritone sax of Lottie B plus the smooth accordion of Grazia Bevilacqua.

From beginning to end the Big Beat Revue is full of colours, 1940s and 1950s songs and rhythms with a dash of rock and roll.

Coming to Whitehaven's Rosehill Theatre on Friday, March 22 (8pm), The Jive Aces perform famous classics by Louis Prima, Bobby Darin, the Andrew Sisters and Ella Fitzgerald along with a wide selection of originals taken from their 10 studio albums.

The show was launched for the first time at the Edinburgh Fringe where the energetic musical aces sold out and landed umpteen five star reviews.

The Jive Aces, who became famous for putting Simon Cowell in "a good mood," received the 2018 prestigious Boisdale Music Award for Best Band presented by Jools Holland himself.

Their hallmark yellow suits have appeared on many world known and world class stages from Glastonbury to the Montreux Jazz Festival, TV appearances such as the Allan Titchmarsh show, Strictly Come Dancing and Children in Need to name just a few.

The band have also worked with many of the top names in the business, including John Travolta, Van Morrison, Status Quo and Jools Holland and their recent charity single was produced by Mike Stock of Stock, Aitken and Waterman fame.
