TWO roads are due to be temporarily closed for a number of days.
Starting from March 4, a 780 metre section of the A595 will be closed to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out resurfacing work on the carriageway.
The area in question is around Bootle, just south of its junction with the U4070.
The closure will be in place for five nights until March 9, between 10pm and 6am.
Cumbria Highways said a way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists would be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the A595, A5086 (Cockermouth), A66 (Penrith), M6, A590 (Greenodd) and A5092 (Grizebeck).
From March 6, Lancashire Road in Millom will be closed from 6pm to 6am for three nights, north easterly from the St George's Road junction with other routes signposted.
