1 Ulverston International Music Spring Festival is returning to The Victory Hall in Broughton this weekend in a musical exploration of the fascinating and turbulent love triangle between Robert & Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms.

The first concert in the series features internationally renowned pianist Anthony Hewitt.

The concert dates include Saturday March 2 and Sunday March 3 from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.

2 Acclaimed comedian, Tim Vine, is back on tour showcasing his silliest jokes alongside some new homemade props and singing some new daft ditties.

Described as ‘A symphony of silly’ by The Times, the comedian promises a nonsensical escape from everyday life.

He is performing at The Forum tonight from 8pm.

3 The Forum’s silverscreen is returning with one of A.A Milne’s most heart-warming creations, Christopher Robin.

The hit fantasy film will be shown at The Forum this Friday from 1pm.

4 Knockout Wrestling returns to Cloud 9 this Saturday in their first event of 2019.

The event has a new KOW Heavyweight Champion who will be looking to get his title reign off to a great start.

5 One of the most successful brass bands in history, The Reg Vardy Brass Band, is coming to The Forum this Sunday to perform a host of musical genres to suit all tastes.

The show starts at 3pm and tickets are available online.

6 The Ulverston Victoria High School Wind Band are joining The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines this weekend in a concert at The Coro.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are from £12.

7 Cooke’s Studio in Barrow presents an exciting series of pioneering experiments in creative technology and digital media.

The exhibition will be based around the theme of ‘interconnectivity’ both within and between different communities.

The exhibition is launching this weekend, entry is free.

8 The Ulverston Carnival Parade is returning with its hugely popular talk and supper evenings tonight from 7pm.

The event is back with entertaining and inspirational speakers, followed by a sociable supper at The Coach House Cafe.

Tickets are £12.50 per person, including supper.

9 Classic trance pianist, Paul Skelton, is performing a live piano set at The Laurel & Hardy Museum this weekend.

The set will be followed by live sets from performers, Monster Monster and Homegrown DJs.

The event starts at 10pm on Saturday night.
