A BARROW man who passed counterfeit £20 notes has avoided an immediate prison sentence.
Kristian James Dodgson, of Manchester Street, admitted two charges of trying to use fake notes in Barrow on May 5 and May 6 last year when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
31-year-old Dodgson was handed a six month prison sentence suspended for 12 months.
He was also told he will be electronically monitored until May 15 meaning he must be inside his house from 7pm to 6am.
District Judge Gerald Chalk also told him to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
