AWARD-winning cabaret star Mat Ricardo appears at The Beggar’s Theatre’s on Friday, February 15 (8pm) with his new production Mat Ricardo vs The World.

Described as brilliant, captivating and very funny, the one-man variety show bursts with world-class juggling, magic and illusion, escapology, sleight of hand, knife throwing, stand-up comedy, feats of strength, demonstrations of dexterity, and the only good trick that exists with a fidget spinner.

Also in the February line up are Scotland’s Tannahill Weavers, who take their dynamic, traditional Celtic music to The Beggar’s Theatre on February 22 (8pm).

The Tannahill’s diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs, and original ballads and lullabies.

The Millom theatre’s new season’s programme is packed with quality music, theatre and plenty of top stand-up comedy. Among the many high profile acts heading to the town is none other than Lee Ridley, aka Lost Voice Guy, who rose to prominence in June after his clever, hilarious comedy routine landed him top spot in the 12th series of Britain’s Got Talent.

Lee’s heading off on a tour of the UK, stopping off at The Beggar’s Theatre on Saturday, April 13 (8pm), with his I’m Only In It For The Free Parking show.

Meanwhile, first on in the theatre’s 2019 season is The Lynne and McCartney Story, playing the popular venue on Saturday (February 2, 8pm), a new show featuring the songs of ELO, The Beatles, solo Beatles, Tom Petty, Wilburys, the Move and the symphonic pop that the two icons of Jeff Lynne and Paul McCartney have been involved with.

ELO Beatles Beyond are no ordinary tribute band. Fronted by top Jeff Lynne and Paul McCartney sound-alikes, the band prides itself on performing the greatest hits of ELO, The Beatles, Wings and more as they were intended to sound.

The theatre show, takes the audience on a journey behind some of the greatest hits of all time, and how the careers of the two songwriting giants have crossed over the years.
