JAYWALKERS have been gigging for more than 10 years, taking their exciting, inventive and virtuosic brand of Americana far and wide, around the UK and Europe.

The combination of Lucille Williams' powerhouse double bass, flame-fingered mandolin playing of Mike Giverin, and blistering fiddle of Jay Bradberry, packs a real punch. Add to that the three-part harmony along with Jay’s fiery lead vocals and it makes for a fuller sound than you'd expect from an acoustic trio.

Three outstanding musicians who have developed a tight bond, demonstrated through their well-crafted, tasteful arrangements and ability to bounce ideas around the stage, Jaywalkers are on a full UK tour to support the release of their new album Time to Save the World. Their fourth studio album, it was recorded during summer 2018 with the extremely talented Josh Clark as producer. Featuring 10 original songs - and a Johnny Cash cover for good measure - their new music plays on the strengths of each member all encompassed by Mike’s musically crafted and lyrically perceptive songwriting. The 25-date tour includes a gig at The Playhouse, Penrith, on Sunday, February 3, before culminating at the end of February with a performance at the newly-built, state of the art Storyhouse in their hometown of Chester.

Jaywalkers are a real melting pot of collective inspirations and influences from their musical upbringings, evident in their live sets which come to life in their use of country heartbreak and bluegrass dynamism applied to issues of the modern day and life as a touring band. Their sets are an eclectic mix of old and new songs with a strong emphasis on the material from the new album. But there will still be some of their old favourites, along with well-established blistering, foot-stomping, up-tempo instrumentals and more cheerful traditional songs to entertain the soul and cheer the heart.

The music Jaywalkers create live, and on their multiple recordings is innovative, rooted deeply in tradition, and exhilarating.
