1 The Forum is hosting their annual Kreativ School of Dance showcase this Friday night which promises to be a talent-filled evening of fantastic entertainment.

From the 00’s to Eurovision, the dance group will perform a number of routines guaranteed to have you dancing in your seat.

2 An exciting exhibition of wooden furniture and sculpture is opening in Barrow this weekend.

Tim Stead's 'Sculpture in Disguise' project offers an array of artistic wooden designs exclusively at The Dock Museum.

The exhibition is open from 10am on Saturday January 19-Wednesday March 27.

3 The Ginuary Gin Festival officially kicks off in Ulverston this weekend, promising a weekend of all things Gin.

Hosted by the Swan Hotel and Spa in Newby Bridge, the festival provides numerous different Gins to sample as well as giving the public the chance to speak to several Gin Representatives.

4 Grange-Over-Sands are running a Buddhist meditation group this weekend which focuses on improving the mind.

Each class will consist of a talk, two guided meditations and light refreshments. Meditation classes are held at Grange Institute and are £5 a ticket.

5 The Coronation Hall's Make and Create sessions continue this weekend. All sessions are open to all ages and include a wide variety of skills to learn and create.

6 Barrow's Odd Frog and Tapas bar welcomes Cumbria's finest jazz group, Kikbak this weekend.

9 SGL Training is offering a comprehensive first aid course this weekend, designed to provide training for injuries suffered in a sport/physical activity setting.

Assessment is continual over the duration of the course by the instructor. The certification is valid for 3 years and tickets cost £50.

10 Millom Parkrun continues this weekend with enthusiastic runners of all abilities invited to join.

The event is a 5km timed run every Saturday from 9am.
