WIGAN Warriors Rugby League club chose the Lake District as the place to be for its pre-season training camp this month.
The Super League champions stayed at Windermere Hotel for a couple of nights where they also carried out their training sessions at Windermere Rugby Club.
The defending champs also held their team building exercises at Windermere Yacht Club which included an Escape the Island challenge as well as a well deserved swim in the lake.
Warriors Executive Director Kris Radlinski said that the Lake District provided 'the ideal setting' for pre-season.
“With the start of the season fast approaching, the coaching staff were keen to take the team out of their comfort zones by challenging them in an unfamiliar environment," he said.
